Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.The Opportunity:Due to continued success in delivering ecology/environmental oversight to construction projects, we are looking to appoint experienced site/construction-based ecologists. The role will be open to people seeking 6-month contracts, 12-month contracts or permanent contracts for work in the wind/rail/nuclear sectors. Successful applicants would be expected to stay away from home for an average of four nights a week, sometimes including Sunday nights. In this exciting role you will: Be an integral member of our client's delivery teams on our major infrastructure projects; Work alongside ecologists and engineers; Be responsible for ecology data collection; Be responsible for the design and implementation of ecology mitigation (e.g. management plans, non-licensed method statements, licensed method statements); Be responsible for delivering pragmatic and timely solutions to ecological constraints; Procure and engage with subcontractors. As the successful candidate you will: Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline; Hold a white CSCS card; Have a minimum of 12 months experience of the same type of work; Hold, or be working towards, qualifying member' status, or higher, of CIEEM; Have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to develop new ecology field skills, including during unsocial hours (e.g. overnight bat surveys) and often away from home (expenses paid); Be willing to work away from home for 3-4 nights a week in paid-for hotels or self-catering accommodation; Be able to work effectively as part of a team; A full UK driving licence.
