Job Title: Trainee TIG Welder Working hours : 38 hours a week, 4 days 7:30am 5:30pm Mon-Thurs. Reporting to: Welding Team Leader / Production Manager Job Purpose: We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as a Trainee TIG Welder . This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop practical skills in TIG welding within a supportive and experienced environment. You will receive on-the-job training while assisting in the preparation, setup, and welding of various metal components. Key Responsibilities: Assist experienced welders in TIG welding tasks on stainless steel, aluminium, and other materials. Learn to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols. Prepare materials and work areas for welding tasks (cleaning, clamping, aligning). Observe and practice correct welding techniques under supervision. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Follow all company health 'safety guidelines and PPE requirements. Work toward developing accuracy, consistency, and high standards in all welding tasks. Skills & Qualifications: Genuine interest in welding and fabrication. Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious. Basic understanding of tools and machinery (training will be provided). [Preferred but not required] Basic experience or coursework in welding or metalwork. Desirable: Some prior workshop or hands-on technical experience (college, hobby, work experience). Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in welding and fabrication. Willingness to complete formal qualifications or welding certifications. Training & Development: Full training provided, with opportunities to gain industry-recognized qualifications. Progression path toward qualified TIG Welder or multi-skilled fabricator roles. Ongoing support from experienced mentors and supervisors. Work Environment: Workshop/fabrication environment.
