Currently, 50% of the meetings are in person and 50% are online. Awaydays are in person. Selwood Housing provides local, affordable homes. Their purpose is to develop, manage and maintain quality affordable housing and provide support services for the benefit of people in housing need. They own and manage over 7,000 homes for rent and shared ownership in the southwest and are growing. Their ambition is to build 1,700 more affordable homes by 2034, to help tackle the housing crisis. As a charity, their surplus is reinvested into new homes, their existing properties and into their communities. They are now seeking a new Non-Executive Director for their main board. Reporting to the Chair, the role will be to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory framework and funding requirements, reviewing and monitoring Selwood Housing Group performance and managing risk as well oversight of the companys performance in relation to its strategies, plans, budgets and controls. We are looking for candidates with strong strategic experience in the housing particularly those who have led housing operations, championed consumer standards, and driven effective customer engagement. Candidates will bring senior leadership experience at Executive level (C Suite) and ideally previous experience as a NED, or Trustee. The ideal candidate will be based a commutable distance from Trowbridge, Wiltshire, wanting to add value in their community and able to bring local knowledge and expertise to the table. This is an exciting time to join them as they look ahead to invest further into their homes, prioritising those areas that they know are most important to their customers, such as repairs, safety, and environmental efficiency. And with a current pipeline of over 500 new homes, they can deliver more affordable homes for local people.
