Specialist Paediatric Occupational TherapistEver considered being a specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist in beautiful, rural South Powys? The post holder will enjoy the variety of a mixed caseload of babies, children and young people, supported by a small specialist team of therapists across Powys. Main duties of the jobWe are looking to recruit a resourceful, motivated, Band 6 Occupational Therapist, with a passion for working with children and young people. We provide a child and family centred service to a diverse population of children with a variety of conditions. You will see children across a range of community settings including school, nursery, respite facilities, and in their homes over a largely rural environment as well as in the Children's Centre.Your role will include assessment, advice and treatment planning; specialist equipment provision, minor adaptations and advice on adaptations for education.You will need to be able to independently carry out specialised assessment and appropriate intervention for children with complex needs.You will be joining a fun and enthusiastic interdisciplinary team, working closely with health and local authority colleagues.Due to the community nature of this post the successful candidate will need to have experience of independent working, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team.
