Position SummaryWe are looking for an experiencedIT Governance Consultantwith aChartered Accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)and deep expertise inSAP FICO. Previous experience atGSK (GlaxoSmithKline)or a similar pharmaceutical organisation is highly desirable. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that SAP IT systems supporting financial processes meet bothregulatoryandinternal Governance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT Governance inSAP FICO modules, including system controls, user access, SoD (Segregation of Duties), and financial reporting integrity.Ensure Governance withSOX,GxP,GDPR, and other regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical and financial systems.Conduct reviews of IT general controls (ITGCs) and application controls within SAP.Identify Governance risks across finance & non-finance applications and processes.SAP & Finance Systems:Provide governance oversight on SAP Finance & Non-Finance implementations, upgrades, and integrations.Review and validate SAP design and configuration to align with financial governance standards and business objectives.IT Quality Management:Support the implementation and maintenance of IT Quality Management Systems (QMS), including documentation.Guide teams through IT Quality SDLC processes (e.g., CSV, IQ/OQ/PQ) for SAP Finance & Non Finance-related systems.Collaborate with GSK-aligned teams or clients to align Governance practices with corporate and regulatory standards.Advise on control implications of SAP FICO configuration changes or system upgrades.Stakeholder Management:Act as a liaison between Finance, IT, and Quality teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.Partner with Accenture and SAP teamsGSK-specific (Preferred):Apply knowledge of GSK IT systems, governance frameworks, and compliance practices to accelerate project alignment and delivery e.g. ITMS/iQMS.Required Skills/QualificationsQualified Chartered Accountant(ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong understanding of financial processes and controls.Extensive experience with SAP FICOmodules (including configuration knowledge and end-to-end process flow).Minimum5 years of IT Governance.GSK experience highly preferred, or experience in a similarly regulated pharmaceutical environment.In-depth understanding ofSOX Governance,financial controls, andCSV frameworks.Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Solid understanding of SDLC, Waterfall and Agile.Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Skills/QualificationsPrior involvement inSAP / S/4HANAimplementations or finance transformation programmes.Solid knowledge ofGxPanddata privacy regulations(e.g. GDPR).Certifications inCISA,CISM, SAP FICO.Knowledge ofUK and international financial reporting standards.Bachelor's or Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.Certifications such as CISA, ITIL,or SAP Finance Certification are a plus.Experience with tools like ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, ALMWhy GSK?Uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.GSK is a global biopharma company with a special purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together so we can positively impact the health of billions of people and deliver stronger, more sustainable shareholder returns as an organisation where people can thrive.
