This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the financial accuracy and success of our business operations.Job Description:As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance operations. Your responsibilities will include:All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.Preparing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for review.Assisting with monthly reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc financial reports.Inputting and reviewing journals, correcting monthly operating/profitability reports, and supporting month-end tasks.Adjusting DBS transaction registers and reconciling key balance sheet accounts daily.Ensuring accurate accounting for Equipment, Parts, and Service transactions.Investigating operational activities and documenting procedures.Producing daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and sales analysis to ensure revenue and gross profit margins are accurate.Supporting non-finance teams with commercial queries and providing accurate financial information.Offering ad-hoc support and covering for other team members as needed.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:A recent degree in finance or related field, or experience working in a finance department.Currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA).Familiarity with SAP and DBS systems is a plus.Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail and a passion for following audit trails.Ability to manage large volumes of data with accuracy.Positive communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.Adaptability, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.What We Offer: In addition to a competitive salary, an annual bonus, 25 days holiday, life insurance, and up to 7% pension, you will benefit from:A comprehensive benefits packageA supportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentWhy Join Us:At Finning, we believe in fostering a culture of innovation and performance.
