Manual Machinist - 6-Month Contract Location: Fareham (Fully On-Site) Pay Rate: 16.94 per hour Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Friday, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Flexible Hours After Training) OT & Shifts Available Contract: 6 months, potential for extension/permanent Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Fareham. The primary focus of this role is manual turning, swagging, and universal grinding while ensuring high-quality precision work. Key Responsibilities: Manual turning with tight tolerances using a lathe Additional machining tasks and intricate work as required Second operation activities such as deburring Housekeeping, Lean 6S, and maintenance activities What We're Looking For: Apprentice-trained manual machinist or ONC (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering Ability to workindependently on manual lathes and swagging techniques Proficient inreading engineering drawings and inspecting own work Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines Awareness ofHealth & Safety in a machine shop environment Why Join Us?
