QC Microbiologist 12-month FTC 35,000 to 37,000 + 10% completion Bonus My Client is a friendly professional team who are working with a portfolio of Interventional Medicine products to advance the treatment of cancer and various other medical conditions within their business. Following Quality Standards or Pharmacopoeia methods testing will cover water, compressed gas, in-process samples and finished products. Responsibilities will include sampling of water systems and environmental monitoring and execution of testing. The job holder will be required to document work in a compliant manner, assist in OOS/Quality Event investigations, and participate in continuous improvement programs. Daily entry into cleanroom environments is expected.THE ROLETo ensure that departmental objectives are executed in line with the overall Quality/Corporate goals.To comply with all safety and GMP requirements within the Laboratory.To execute analytical testing for microbiology requirements to support any QC, R&D or Manufacturing activity. Routine activities include bioburden testing, endotoxin testing, Analytical testing of water samples (TOC, Conductivity, Nitrates), environmental monitoring (Active air, settle plate, contact plate & non-viable particles)To ensure preparation and timely submission of test samples to external test houses.Where required working to Standard Operating Procedures/WIs, complete the environmental sampling of cleanroom environments.Ensure documentation of all testing activities to current client and regulatory standards.To liaise with all external contract testing laboratories.Input of data to support Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and trending.Participate in multi-functional teams to support project assignments.Initiate quality event investigationsReview raw dataAuthor quarterly reports analysing environmental trendsAuthor document updatesOwn & manage a QC Microbiology process to ensure compliance to calibration and maintenance requirementsEnsure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with the Clients values.Complete additional tasks considered necessary to meet business and customer requirements as indicated by the Line Manager.EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEEducated to BSC (minimum) in Microbiology, applied biology or a related discipline.Experience with environmental monitoring of cleanrooms preferredExperience in bioburden and endotoxin testing preferredExperience of working to GMP and to Good Documentation practiceTo demonstrate computer skills Microsoft Office preferred.Good written and verbal skills, to enable communication of technical information in a concise manner.To complete assignments in a timely manner and communicate progress at intervals.To analytically evaluate results.Be a self-starter capable of working on their own and under supervisionMust be a team player and be able to interact with colleagues in a constructive and positive manner.Ability to manage changing prioritiesTPBN1_UKTJ
