Sales Engineer Job Overview Our client is seeking a technically minded Sales Engineer to support the Sales & Technical Manager in developing new and existing customer accounts across the UK. This role involves regular nationwide travel, starting in a defined region. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK but must be willing to travel to the Oxford office as required-particularly during the initial training period. Home working will be considered following probation. Deliver technical sales presentations and product demonstrations Provide expert support to customers and internal sales teams Answer engineering-related product queries and installation questions Identify and pursue new business opportunities Negotiate pricing and manage the full sales process Support and train non-technical sales staff Achieve individual and team sales targets Sales Engineer Job Requirements NVQ qualification in Engineering and/or Welding & Fabrication is desirable, but not essential - relevant industry experience will be considered. Strong technical understanding of engineering processes and applications. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience in technical sales or product support is preferred. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Willing and able to travel across the UK, with occasional international travel if required. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/CRM systems is desirable (training provided). Full UK driving licence (clean).
