This is a critical role ensuring high-quality installation, coordination, and commissioning of complex mechanical systems in a live healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities: Lead all mechanical works on site from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Coordinate mechanical designs, resolve technical queries, and review contractor design portion (CDP) submissions. Manage mechanical subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to hospital-grade quality standards. Attend and chair mechanical coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives. Oversee quality control and compliance for all mechanical installations, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and project specifications. Develop and manage mechanical commissioning plans, witness testing, and ensure accurate O&M documentation is produced. Support post-handover activities including seasonal commissioning, client demonstrations, and defect resolution. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to site teams on mechanical systems. Requirements: Significant experience delivering mechanical services on hospital or healthcare projects, ideally in live or occupied environments. Strong technical background in HVAC, public health, BMS, and plant systems within healthcare or complex building environments. Skilled in managing the interface between mechanical design, commercial controls, procurement, and on-site delivery. Knowledge of healthcare-specific standards, commissioning protocols, compliance, RAMS, and quality close-out procedures. Proficient in software tools such as MS Project or Asta, and experienced in managing technical documentation and commissioning records.
