Weekly Hours: 39 hours per week Pay Rate: Up to 13.80 per hour Role Overview: The Metrology Technician will be responsible for operating and monitoring CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to ensure parts meet specification and quality standards. This role requires the technician to build fixtures, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure the smooth operation of the metrology equipment. The technician will also be expected to monitor patterns and report on machine performance, identifying any issues or failures. Key Responsibilities: Operate CMM machines and scanners to measure and inspect parts. Build fixtures to secure parts for measurement. Follow instructions and document machine activities accurately. Recognize patterns from machine outputs and identify potential issues or failures. Review part specifications to understand the reasons for any failures. Monitor the performance of CMM machines and ensure they are running smoothly. Produce visual reports on machine performance and part quality. Key Requirements: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs. Comfortable working in a machine-based environment and handling hands-on tasks.
