The Role and the Department We are seeking a skilled, creative, and experienced Communications Co-ordinator to provide excellent communications and events support within the SCENE programme. The postholder will work closely with the Northern Accelerator Communications Manager and Partnership managers to ensure seamless communication within the University partnership and with key partners and stakeholders. The project is ambitious and complex, involving multiple workstreams that interact with existing Northern Accelerator programmes. The Communications role is vital in ensuring visibility and fostering a sense of common endeavour across the programme. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of innovation and commercialisation mechanisms and be able to work collaboratively to design and deliver effective communication plans. They should also understand the roles of national and regional funders to align communications with regional economic and commercialisation objectives. The main duties include: Designing and implementing a strong communications and events plan to support the delivery of the SCENE programme's workstreams and projects. Coordinating internal communications among University partners and the wider network of strategic partners to support the commercialisation eco-system. Collaborating with the Communications Manager and team to ensure consistent messaging across the SCENE programme, Northern Accelerator, and related projects. Providing support and guidance to University staff on communications activities, ensuring compliance with partner and funder branding and identity guidelines.
