Duties can include but are not limited to, greetingand directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, bookingappointments, processing of information and assisting patients asrequired. To act as the central point ofcontact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiriesfor the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members andexternal agencies such as secondary care and community service providers. Hours needed are: Monday Day off Tuesday 14.00-18.30(4.5hrs) Thursday 12.30-18.30 (6hrs) Friday 14.000-18.30 (4.5hrs) About usDerby RoadGroup Practice strives continuously to provide better healthcare for ourpatients. We are a friendly Practice with various clinicians and other allied health professionals. Job responsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the receptionist. There may be onoccasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent uponfactors such as workload and staffing levels: a.Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointmentsystem b.Process personal, telephone and e-requests forappointments c.Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls ordealing with the callers request appropriately d.Signpost patients to the correct service e.Training and deliver document workflow f.Action repeat prescription requests and ensure thatthey are ready for collection by the patient within 72 hours, also be involvedin the management of medication requests from external parties itiating contact with and responding to, requestsfrom patients, team members and external agencies h.Read code data on Systm1 i.Conduct administration regarding E-consults j.Photocopy documentation as required k.Data entry of new and temporary registrations andrelevant patient information as required put data into the patients healthcare records asnecessary m.Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance /solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the Business Manager n.Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner o.Carry out system searches as requested p.Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at alltimes q.Monitor and maintain the reception area and noticeboards r.Support all clinical staff with general tasks asrequested Person SpecificationQualificationsExperience of working with the general public- Essential Experience of administrative duties - Desirable Experience of working in a health care setting - Desirable#J-18808-Ljbffr
