Your key duties will include:Making components using the appropriate fabrics from standard templates and instructionsPart marking components and labels using ink pads and rubber stampsCutting patterns and templates from drawings and using them to accurately cut fabric piecesMonitoring for imperfections in materials or mistakes in patterns and instructionsInterpreting technical drawings and specifications to identify and apply part numbers, drawing issues, and relevant surface finishesWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate for this Aerospace Textiles Operative role will have:Experience working on industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing environmentThe ability to interpret technical drawings and specificationsExcellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to cut templates and fabric accuratelyUnderstanding of weft and weaveBasic sewing machine maintenance skills, such as changing needlesCarbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
