We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a friendly early years team. You will support the Nursery Teacher and key workers to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where every child can develop and thrive. Beginning September 2025.Duties as Nursery Teaching Assistant:Assist in the delivery of high-quality care and learning for children.Support the planning and delivery of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.Help to set up and tidy away learning resources and activities.Supervise and support children at play, during meals and in all daily routines.Observe and record children’s progress as directed.Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and staff.Promote the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care.Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting (desirable).A warm, patient and caring approach.Good communication and teamwork skills as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.An understanding of the EYFS framework and child development (desirable).A relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 in Childcare/Early Years) is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.Why Step Teachers?With a rich history spanning over tw...
