Head of Treasury – Salary – Up to £75k per annum As part of Marston's strategy to achieve market-beating revenue growth, sustained EBITDA margin expansion, and £50m+ recurring free cash flow in the next 5 years, Marston’s is recruiting for a Head of Treasury to report to the Director of Treasury within our Finance function. The Treasury department is part of the wider finance team. Its primary function is to ensure the business maintains sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations alongside an optimised and cost-effective debt structure. The role requires exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse group of debt stakeholders, including banks, noteholders, rating agencies, and trustees, each with their own specific requirements. Prior treasury experience is beneficial but not essential. We value a willingness to learn and develop new ideas to advance the department. This is an agile role, with an expectation to work from our Wolverhampton offices up to 3 days a week. In this role you’ll Help lead the Treasury and Cash functions Support the Director of Treasury on strategic treasury and financing projects, including deputising at key stakeholder meetings and operational projects to improve service delivery Manage covenant reporting on debt facilities Forecast cash flow, working capital, and finance costs for short and medium-term planning Manage relationships with banks and debt holders, exploring new bank products and services Own group financial authority limits and internal treasury policies Collaborate across the finance team to improve treasury reporting and forecasting Develop strong relationships with finance and operations stakeholders Support period-end accounting and management reporting processes Coordinate with Cash Operations and Ledgers teams to drive efficiencies and maximize liquidity Coordinate with internal audit and external auditors What we’re looking for: Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with at least 5 years PQE Confident communicator who can understand and respect diverse perspectives Passionate about learning and inspiring others Ability to work under pressure, producing accurate, timely information Experience managing complex, multi-tiered relationships Strategic thinker with leadership qualities and emotional intelligence Strong Excel skills and ability to interpret financial data for non-financial colleagues What you get from us At Marston’s, we prioritize our people and offer benefits such as: Entry into our bonus scheme with up to 20% of salary Competitive car allowance of £8,750 per annum Apprenticeship programmes for training and development Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave (subject to 26 weeks service) 30% discount in Marston’s pubs and 20% off accommodation via our privilege card Marston’s Cheers Platform discounts Share save incentive scheme Employee assistance programme, including wellbeing support and confidential helpline We welcome personality and passion.
