Currently members of FORS and hold Gold accreditation.We are currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Administrator based at our Telford depot.Salary: 28,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pmRequirement:As a Health and Safety Administrator, working with the Health, Safety and Environment Manager you will co-ordinate, maintain, and improve Health and Safety (H&S) records and processes, drive the H&S culture throughout the business and be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and advising the business in all aspects in relation to health, safety, environmental and quality matters.You will be required to manage your time effectively whilst monitoring standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to.You will need the ability to communicate staff inductions and training efficiently and effectively, as well as being a driven individual with the ability to work independently or show excellence within a team.Competence and QualificationsStrong administration skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various departments, drivers and customers alikeExperience in maintaining and updating Management SystemsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly demonstrate and convey concepts to large and small audiences on various levelsResponsibilitiesTo ensure the company wideHealth and Safety policies and processes are implemented and carried out across the businessTo ensure that that all agreed actions are completed within deadlinesas dictated by the businessTo carry out site inspections and review the effectiveness of the H&S management system identifying areas of improvement as and when requiredAs required, carry out accident or near miss/hazards investigations, producing supporting documentation and corrective action plans including recommendation of possible disciplinary action.Manage the company safety rules and near miss/Hazard reporting promoting SHEQ initiatives ensuring, review, audit, feedback, and closure including agreed actionsIdentify the training needs of employees, deliver training as required, including risk assessing and safe systems of workTo monitor and report on the services provided by external contractorsEnsure all reporting data is maintained and updated accordingly, carrying out regular checks to ensure compliance for all RAMS, SSOW, TBT etc.Plan, organize and manage the day-to-day administration for the H&S departmentManage and allocate PPE across all depotsUpdate all customer portals to ensure compliance at all timesAssist management to ensure all actions are completed and addressed in a timely mannerBe the first point of contact for all other departments regarding H&S mattersArrange maintenance and compliance checks on all in-house equipmentCarry out DSE assessments in line with company policyArrange and facilitate any occupational health requestsAssist other areas of the business as required from time to timeWe offer progression and training of both IOSH & NEBOSH Certification, as well as an annual holiday entitlement of 28 Days which includes 8 bank holidays with an incentive scheme to earn an additional 5 days and for every 2 full years you work for the company along with a workplace pension scheme.Want to be part of a great team - to have the opportunity to join our team submit your CV to be considered for an immediate interview or call our HR department on 0800 731 0589.TPBN1_UKTJ
