Estimator Redditch, Worcestershire £Negotiable, dependent on experience Permanent, Full-TimeThe Role We’re working with a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor to find an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team in Redditch. Operating for over 30 years, our client delivers high-quality groundworks and residential civil engineering services across the Midlands and Home Counties. With a strong reputation and a collaborative approach, they work closely with major housebuilders on projects that demand both technical knowledge and commercial awareness.As an Estimator, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for residential groundworks packages. You’ll work alongside commercial and operational teams to ensure the business continues to win work that is both profitable and deliverable.What You’ll DoPrepare detailed cost estimates for residential groundworks and infrastructure packagesAnalyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to produce accurate BOQs and take-offsLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricingIdentify and evaluate project risks and opportunitiesSupport handover to delivery teams post-contract awardBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partnersWhat You’ll BringPrevious experience as an Estimator within construction, ideally groundworks or residential civilsAbility to understand technical drawings and specificationsStrong numerical and commercial skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage and prioritise multiple tenders in a fast-paced environmentFull UK driving licenceMinimum GCSE Grade 4 (C) in Maths, English, and GeographyWhat’s On OfferPermanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm)Competitive salary based on experienceCompany pension schemeEmployee assistance programmeLong-service awardsA supportive and stable working environment with real long-term career prospectsAbout the Company With regional offices in Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, and Leicestershire, our client is well-placed to serve the UK’s leading housebuilders.
