Job Title

We have an opportunity within our Security Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) as aSecurity Manager . You will manage and oversee all aspects of security on UHDB properties, including management of CCTV, security officers/supervisors, and training. You will maintain comprehensive and accurate records of any breaches or suspected breaches of security, ensuring compliance with information security principles and Information Governance. To interpret national guidance and policy, and lead the development and implementation of local policies, procedures, and guidance on security management matters. To act as the key point of contact for staff, providing expert support within the organization, and for external personnel, leading communications and reporting on security-related matters. To lead the security management agenda from a service development perspective. To ensure that risk assessments are undertaken and recorded, and statutory reports are compiled and submitted to the Trust’s assurance groups and committees. To act as the Trust's security expert, ensuring issues are addressed professionally and timely, offering appropriate advice, judgments, and referrals in line with legislation and policy. To conduct investigative work involving complex situations requiring analysis and interpretation of options. To support Divisional Managers in consulting with Trust Procurement on security matters.
