This role is predominantly advocacy-based, requiring regular attendance at Magistrates' courts in Sussex. While Brighton is a key location, hearings may also be scheduled in Surrey and sometimes further afield. Your role will be to manage a caseload of approximately 100 civil protective order applications in the Magistrates' Court, including; Domestic Violence Protection Orders; Stalking Protection Orders; Sexual Harm Prevention Orders; Sexual Risk Orders; Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions and Closure Orders.The Candidate: You will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a strong interest in regulatory and police law. Also with: Experience drafting and presenting cases in court Strong advocacy skills or a willingness to develop them Strong communication and IT proficiency A flexible approach, with a willingness to travel for court hearings Experience of advocacy in the Magistrates' Court Experience advising and acting on behalf of police forces would be highly desirable#J-18808-Ljbffr
