ISO 9001 certified, with operations worldwide.They currently seek a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team based at their European Manufacturing Base in Eurocentral, Lanarkshire.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of fabrication, layout and schematic drawings, assembly and sub-assembly drawings with bill of materials using AutoCAD and SolidWorks;Complete project-based, mechanical design and detailing work of machined components, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drive systems;Execute mechanical design calculations and analysis;Meet engineering schedules for design and detailing work;Attend and participate in internal design review meetings and customer meetings;Answer queries from their manufacturing department as well as customers and suppliers relating to the prepared engineering drawings;Complete duties relating to work assigned by the line Manager;Help prepare operation and maintenance manuals;Ensure that engineering documentation is maintained in line with the companys ISO9001 quality system;Identify areas of improvement on design, equipment and processes and continually liaise with all departments.What youll bringA Mechanical Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related disciplineMinimum of 3 years experience as a Design Engineer within an engineering environment Knowledge of mechanical parameters and appropriate engineering formulas to perform mechanical design calculations, in order to determine critical factors and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standardsProficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MathcadHigh attention to detail with strong documentation and drawing production skillsFamiliarity with rules, directives, regulations, best practices and performance standardsAbility to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a multi-disciplined environmentMS Office skillsTime management and organisation skills Willingness to travel to customer and supplier sites, both UK and Europe, as requiredFull UK driving licenceProduct Training will be given.All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UKTPBN1_UKTJ
