QUALITY INSPECTORRead the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.STOCKPORTONGOING TEMP' POSITIONMONDAY TO FRIDAYJob SummaryOur client is looking for a Goods In/Quality Inspector with a heavy engineering background to join their long established company on a LONG TERM TEMPORARY basis!!An experienced mechanical / quality inspector who has a good understanding of mechanical principles, to inspect internal and external components and assemblies.THIS PERSON MUST HAVE INSPECTION EXPERIENCE OF SUB-ASSEMBLIES, FABRICATIONS AND WELDS.Ensure Inspection processes and procedures are strictly adhered to within the business. Work with the assembly teams to develop a zero defect culture. A keen eye for detail is crucial to this role as is a PDCA approach to ensure that all aspects of product quality are maintained and consistent approach to continuous improvement within the assembly workshop. Carry out Goods Inward inspection activities on all manufactured parts being received into the business. Utilising manual inspection and measuring equipment, engineering drawings and technical data sheets. Ensure that all quality related documents, as defined in the individual quality plan, are checked as part of the goods inward inspection process. These will then be transferred to the Technical Clerk for storage. Ensure that all product assemblies are fully compliant with the Company quality plan, standards, and specification requirements and that all incidents of non-conformity are identified, reported and that all corrective action is taken in a timely manner. Ensure that all reworked product is fully inspected and conforms to specification requirements. Witness and verify the testing of all assembled products within the workshop. Ensure that assembled product is fully inspected and has been fully tested in accordance with defined standards and specifications. The results of these tests shall be recorded. Liaising with other functions across the business to resolve any manufacturing /quality issues and recording any actions taken. Comply with the company ISO 9001:2008 procedures and Health and Safety policy. Ensure that documentation required for CE and legislative compliance is available and is included with a machine data book for the assembled product.TPBN1_UKTJ
