Job Title: Senior Buyer – Major Civil Engineering & Urban Transport ProjectsLocation: BirminghamEmployment Type: Full-time | PermanentA leading infrastructure delivery alliance is seeking a Senior Buyer to support a high-profile urban transport programme in Birmingham. Acting as a key procurement professional within the team, you’ll take the lead in procuring subcontractors, materials, and plant to ensure delivery of major infrastructure projects is timely, cost-effective, and in line with NEC3 contractual obligations.Key Responsibilities:Lead subcontract procurement and supply chain engagementDevelop tender packages and manage end-to-end procurement processesDraft and manage contracts using NEC3 and standard templatesMaintain supplier relationships and performanceIdentify and mitigate procurement risksWork closely with commercial, delivery, and design teamsAbout You:Minimum 3 years' experience in construction or civil engineering procurementNEC3 knowledge essentialStrong commercial acumen and stakeholder communication skillsIdeally working toward or qualified with MCIPSProficient with Microsoft Office and procurement systemsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-moving environment where innovation and continuous improvement are valued.
