AboutSC - Principal Design EngineerManchester - HybridUp to £550 per hourOUTSIDE IR35We are currently looking for qualified Principal Design Engineer with Active SC to support a key nuclear project with a leading client of ours in the Defence/Nuclear sector. They are a leading infrastructure solutions provider driving innovation across transportation, energy, water, and defence sectors. They are renowned for delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national sustainability and economic growth goals.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and filter electrical drawings across two document/record systems Identify and transfer accurate records to AO (authoritative document system) Assess 132kV/11kV system drawings for alignment with current installations Support design assurance and documentation accuracyEssential CriteriaActive Security Clearance (SC). Professionally registered (IEng or CEng). Experience with design and implementation of 132kV and 11kV substations. 'Person' status for access to Gridyards/Substations.
