More about Amazon Flex can be found at flex.amazon.com.Key job responsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed systems and cloud-based applications.Implement software engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies, continuous integration/deployment, and test-driven development.Identify and solve complex problems, breaking them into manageable tasks.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Mentor team members and foster an inclusive, diverse team culture.Additional responsibilitiesDesign and update core functionalities of projects and services.Drive technical direction and architecture of complex software systems.Improve system stability, performance, and security.Work with stakeholders to define business opportunities and develop end-to-end solutions and roadmaps.Coach and mentor team members, building a strong cross-functional organization.Provide technical expertise throughout product lifecycles and influence best practices.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of professional software development experience.Proficiency in at least one programming language.Experience in designing or architecting scalable and reliable systems.Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering manager.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.We promote an inclusive culture that empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results.
