Role: Head of OperationsSalary: £55,000 - £60,000 (circa. £85,000 OTE)Location: Leeds Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, continuous improvement and projects.Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, collective site operational team (up to 75+ employees) through managerial & operational leads as direct reports.Client Relationships: Build and maintain an already impressive, strong customer relationship base, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.Commercial Responsibility & Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational site budget, ensuring financial objectives are achieved while maintaining service & quality.Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practice.Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Innovation: Support the business appetite to drive innovation, along with the adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.Supplier Relationships: Manage UK commercial relationships with customers, suppliers and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective services. The CandidateThe successful candidate for the Head of Operations role will have the following skills & experiences:A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background (Ideally at a Head of Operations / Site General Manager level) - Essential.5+ Years proven Operations / Site / General Management leadership experience across Warehouse operations - Essential.Previous budgetary responsibility across medium sized DC operations in excess of +£15m - Essential.A sector background within; FMCG, Food, Retail, E-Commerce - Advantageous but not essential.Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential.Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market - Essential.An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges - Essential.Commutable to the Leeds area - Essential.
