Service Care Legal are working in partnership with the Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry. We are currently recruiting Legal Advisor / Researchers to join the Inquiry's legal team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a statutory Public Inquiry of national significance, focused on the protection of human rights and delivery of public accountability.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive legal analysis across high volumes of documentary evidenceIdentify and recover relevant evidence and potential witnessesRead into materials to develop lines of inquiryTake witness statements or direct statement takersAssist in the drafting and implementation of Inquiry procedures and protocolsSupport the management of Inquiry hearings and the final report processConduct redactions and disclosures in accordance with GDPR and Inquiry policiesPerson Specification:Excellent attention to detail and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesTeam-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to a fast-paced environmentA degree in Scots law is desirable, although applications from other jurisdictions are welcomeSalary Negotiable: starting from £57,701 - LTD Day rate £302.66, PAYE (inc hol):£257.02 Role: open for 1 weekHybrid: working with a minimum of 2 days in officeContract Length: 18 monthsTo apply, please submit CV to Beth Simpson via email: or call 01312642230 for more information.
