We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Associate to join an award-winning Claimant Personal Injury department in Newcastle. You’ll be joining a nationally recognised Birthing Injury team dedicated to representing children and families affected by brain and spinal cord injuries.The firm offer a flexible hybrid working environment. You will play a key part in navigating the complexities of serious paediatric injury claims, achieving meaningful outcomes and securing futures for children with life-changing injuries.What You’ll Be DoingManaging a varied caseload of complex paediatric neurotrauma claims, including both pre-litigation and litigated mattersConducting detailed liability and quantum investigations, working with top-tier medical and non-medical expertsDrafting Schedules of Loss, reviewing expert and clinical documentation, and calculating high-value special damagesActing as a trusted advisor to families, guiding them through long-term rehabilitation and legal processesCollaborating with rehabilitation providers, case managers, and other professionals to ensure integrated client supportRepresenting clients at hearings and court applications, using your advocacy and case strategy skillsPlaying a key role in business development, attending events and forging strong relationships with referrers and support organisationsHelping to promote the team’s profile externally and contribute to the continued growth of the departmentProviding an exceptional client experience, with empathy, professionalism, and clear communicationWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a Senior Associate who combines legal acumen with genuine compassion.
