Transport Planner – Civil Engineering ConsultancyLocation: East Midlands (Hybrid/Office-based)Sector: Transport Planning / Infrastructure / EngineeringAlfred Recruitment is proud to be working with a respected civil and infrastructure consultancy, actively seeking a Transport Planner to support growing project demand across the Midlands and beyond.This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team delivering transport planning solutions for both public and private sector developments — from residential masterplans and retail schemes to major highways infrastructure.The RoleAs a Transport Planner, you’ll:Prepare Transport Assessments, Statements, and Travel PlansContribute to junction modelling using tools like Junctions 9, LinSig, or VISSIMAnalyse transport data and traffic flows using TRICS, TEMPro, and GIS toolsSupport the design and appraisal of transport infrastructure for development sitesLiaise with local authorities, clients, and design teamsProvide input at various stages from feasibility to planning submissionAbout YouWe're looking for candidates with:A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related disciplineSolid understanding of transport policy (NPPF, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20)Proficiency in AutoCAD, TRICS, LinSig, or other relevant softwareStrong report writing and communication skillsExperience with development planning is highly desirableWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary (DOE) + benefitsFlexible hybrid working arrangementsCareer development through CIHT / ICE / TPS supportA supportive team culture focused on sustainable transport solutions
