Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Lewisham to recruit for a Senior Social Worker in the Child Protection Team. This will be on a permanent basis paying £48,618-£50,646 per annum . Responsibilities include: Initial Assessments and Core Assessments LAC Reviews Giving Evidence Managing a varied caseload Court Reports Section 47's Caseloads on average between 15-20 children Experience Required: The post holder must have a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England Candidates will need to have an excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches, relevant legislation, national policy and initiatives and experience working with Children and Families. You will also need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK with previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding or Child Protection Team. Demonstrable post qualifying experience of at least two years of working with children and families or be able to demonstrate expertise at a senior level.
