We are working with a Local Authority in the South West who are seeking an experienced SEND Placements Officer to join their SEND team due to an increase in their service demand. Location: South West Set-up: Hybrid – the role can mostly completed on a remote working basis but candidates must be able to attend site at request and for induction Rate: £200 per day via umbrella inside IR35 Duration: Initially 3-months Hours:Part-time position, 22. 5 hours per week Responsibilities include: To carry out the process for specialist educational placements for all learners with Special Educational Needs aged 4-25 years of age who have an Education Health and Care Plan that requires additional resourcing within the higher block allocation To support transition planning arrangements with relevant partners into appropriate services, in accordance with the local authority transition protocol Ensure that systems are in place for efficient record keeping and tracking of all learners with SEND where brokerage/ commissioning is required and who are within specialist placements either locally or out of area Requirements: Local government experience required for initial shortlisting, then thereafter at the clients discretion Previous experience of co-ordinating processes for placements of learners with SEND followi...
