Job SummaryAre you passionate about patient-centered care and want to make a difference?General Practice Alliance (GPA) are looking for a proactive Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly pharmacy team, working across five GP practices within Grand Union PCN.You'll be part of an experienced and well-established team within GPA, including a Principal Pharmacist, Senior Pharmacist, five Clinical Pharmacists, a Senior Pharmacy Technician, two Pharmacy Technicians, and two Pharmacy Care Coordinators. There is real scope for you to shape the role and make a meaningful contribution to medicines safety and patient outcomes.The role will be full time, although part-time hours will also be considered.Main duties of the jobAs a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a key role in improving medication safety through audits, reporting, and supporting the implementation of clinical guidance from MHRA, NICE, CQC, QOF, and Eclipse. You'll manage blood tests, monitor high-risk medicines, and support safe prescribing practices.A key part of your role will be handling same-day medication queries from GPs, community pharmacies, care homes, and practice staff. Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand, analyse, and clearly explain complex or sensitive information to various audiences. Confident using Microsoft Office and healthcare-related computer systems, including platforms similar to SystmOne.
