We are a 189-bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit.We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite with 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care, with both an inpatient unit and a day infusion lounge.As a Physiotherapist, your responsibilities will include:Providing comprehensive Physiotherapy services to acute surgical inpatients including orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac, and neurosurgery.Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning, and evidence-based practice.Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department.Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people.Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services.Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students.Bachelor in Physiotherapy.Current AHPRA Registration.Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload.Minimum 1 year's experience in an acute hospital environment.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Excellent organisation and time management skills.Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork.Prior experience in ICU & Surgical settings would be advantageous.Experience working in an acute hospital setting is preferred.Applications close:30th July 2025To Apply:Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
