The department provides inpatient, outpatient and community orthotic care for a wide variety of patients. There is a complex mix of adult and paediatric MDTs and extended practice clinics which provide a great opportunity to be exposed to interesting and varied caseloads.Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities:Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the serviceWorking closely with multi-disciplinary teams MDTsInputting and leading on initiatives within the service development planConduct comprehensive assessment of patients to determine their orthotic needsDevelop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plansStay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practicesProvide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment processAssessing, measuring, casting, fitting, suppling, reviewing and adjusting orthoses as requiredMaintaining appropriate clinical notesThe role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service improvements for the betterment of patients in Gloucester and surrounding areas.The successful candidate will be supported with local, regional, and national training to develop their clinical skills to support the service.
