These roles are offered on a temp-to-perm basis, giving you the opportunity to trial the position and transition into a permanent role if it's the right fit.This modern, purpose-built school provides a nurturing and structured environment for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, often associated with Autism Spectrum Conditions. Set on a beautiful, spacious campus with specialist facilities, the school supports pupils in small class sizes (no more than 8 students), ensuring each child receives the individual care and guidance they need to thrive.About The RoleYou will support students in Years 2 to 4 with both their learning and overall wellbeing. The role involves working closely with the class teacher to deliver a tailored curriculum, encourage independence, and build strong, trusting relationships with the children.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport learning activities in class and on a one-to-one basis Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support Provide personal care support if required Encourage personal development and independence Work closely with the teaching and therapeutic teamsWorking HoursTerm time only, 40 hours per weekMonday: 8:30am - 5:00pm Tuesday to Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm(With 2.5 hours weekly allocated for training and development)RequirementsGCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C / Level 2 or above) - essential Working towards or holding a Level 2 qualification in Support Work in Schools - desirable Previous experience in an educational or care setting Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs A positive, resilient, and adaptable approach Full UK driving licence preferredIf you're ready to take the next step in your career and make a real difference, Aspire Education Agency wants to hear from you.
