This setting provides a supportive and structured environment for students who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, social, or emotional challenges.About The RoleThis is a rewarding opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and reach their potential. You will be working closely with a small cohort of students to build positive relationships, support learning, and help manage behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs. Help manage behaviour and support students with emotional regulation. Act as a consistent and positive role model. Work alongside teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to ensure students receive the support they need. Encourage positive attitudes toward learning, attendance, and personal development.The SettingKS4 Alternative Provision for students aged 14-16. Supports students referred due to behaviour concerns or risk of exclusion. Focused on reintegration into mainstream education where possible, or achieving the best outcomes within the setting. Students may present with needs such as SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.The Ideal CandidateExperience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or care setting. Understanding of behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed practice. Confident, resilient, and able to stay calm under pressure. Passionate about helping young people make positive changes in their lives.
