We are looking for a Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly multi-professional radiotherapy team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Torbay delivers a range of techniques, including Lung SABR, and is actively engaged in research with both commercial and non-commercial trials. This post is suitable for either a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer ready for an exciting change or a student due to qualify in 2025. You will be joining at an exciting time when we will be commissioning and installing SGRT on both our linacs. You will be joining our caring, committed, and innovative team in beautiful South Devon. You will work as part of a team on the linear accelerators, providing safe and accurate radiotherapy treatment. The post holder will also rotate through pre-treatment roles, including RT-CT and pre-treatment data entry. You Will Need ToProvide safe and accurate radiotherapy planning and treatment to patients across a broad range of tumour sites. Support the team leader in managing patient workflow, assisting with the organisation and management of the clinical workload. Work flexibly as the service demands. Provide exceptional patient care at all times. We are a small department comprising two matched Elekta VERSA Linacs, Mosaiq Oncology Management System, Pinnacle Treatment Planning System (TPS), Limbus AI OAR outlining software, and a Canon Aquilion CT Scanner installed in 2024. The department actively participates in clinical trials. Lung SABR treatment began in 2021 and is expanding to include Bone and Nodal Treatments, expected to start in early 2025. Our team includes a Support and Information Radiographer, Urology Specialist Radiographer, and Colorectal/Gynae Specialist Radiographers, all independent prescribers. We have been involved in the award-winning late effects service project and have a dedicated research radiographer embedded in the oncology research and development team. Future plans include implementing SGRT in early 2025, upgrading our current Mosaiq system, implementing EPIC, and commissioning a new Treatment Planning System. Long-term, we aim to prepare for back-to-back Linac replacement programs.
