We are recruiting for aQualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people. This exciting role spans both educational settings and healthcare sectors across South Tees. You will be based with the well-established and successful trailblazer Mental Health Support Team (MHST), known locally asInside Out . The team is located in Middlesbrough and provides mental health support across a range of educational settings in the Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland local authority areas. The role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with barring. Main duties of the jobWe are looking for qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners with experience working in Mental Health Support Teams, either as trainees or qualified practitioners. You should be confident working as part of a team, and skilled at building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, particularly within educational settings. You will deliver mental health interventions on a one-to-one and group basis, as well as delivering whole school approaches to help embed strategies that promote and support mental health and wellbeing. Person SpecificationQualificationsExperienceWork within Mental Health Support Teams for schools, either as a trainee or qualified EMHP Experience working with children and young people, their families, and other stakeholders Experience liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders Experience working with children and their families in healthcare and educational settings Delivery of group interventions for children and young people Personal Qualities and AttributesSelf-motivated Able to travel to meet the requirements of the role Team player Excellent time management and organisational skills Able to meet the physical requirements of the role with reasonable adjustments for illnesses or disabilities Full, enhanced DBS disclosure Ability to manage a sensitive, traumatic, and potentially emotionally distressing caseload Excellent oral and written communication skills Specialist ExperienceExperience working with children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties Experience working with anxiety and mood disorders Experience delivering therapeutic interventions such as CBT or solution-focused brief therapy Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.#J-18808-Ljbffr
