This post will be based at Hallam Street Hospital. You will work closely with the three inpatient wards, but you will not be part of the numbers on the wards.We Also Offer The Following To Support Your Development:Regular 1:1 clinical and management supervision. A preceptorship programme. Access to a CPD fund to complete additional training courses, such as sensory integration and DBT skills. Regular peer supervision. Access to an established resource base to use as part of individual and group interventions. Being part of a multi-disciplinary AHP team including Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Psychology. A supportive and cohesive team working environment, with a shared ethos of working to the Model of Human Occupation and recovery principles. Commitment to support in the development of your clinical skills including knowledge/skills within mental health specific interventions and group work.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will implement evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist interventions in addition to participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy Services. Participate in therapy hub group program utilizing a range of psychoeducational interventions, such as anxiety management, distress tolerance and recovery focused groups that will feed into recovery focused care planning as well as be assigned to an adult ward on site to provide assessment and intervention. The successful applicant will need to be an enthusiastic and committed individual who will be part of a wider team, including other Occupational Therapists and members of an Multi-Disciplinary Team within the Inpatient Therapy Hub. The candidate will need to be flexible in service provision/cross site cover on different wards when required and support the team pan trust. The post holder will have responsibility for a caseload of clients including those with complex needs and will need to provide Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions to adults within a hospital setting.
