Main duties of the joba) To undertake non-complex clinical procedures under the guidance of senior team members e.g. venepuncture, patient specific sub-cutaneous injections, sample collection, blood pressure monitoring, medications, wound care, Catheter care and other tasks according to training and competencies. Job responsibilitiesYou would have training also in wound management and Leg Ulcer Management and compression bandaging. All HCAs are skilled up in observations, not just Blood Pressure, Temperature, respirations and Blood Glucose monitoring but taking a more holistic approach when attending to any patient and using the Risk Assessments required for all patient care. Be able to take instruction from senior clinicians and be able to update on any patient you may have visited for treatment each day. Please refer to the job description and person specification for full details Person SpecificationGeneral Knowledge and SkillsGood Standard of Education o NVQ level III in Health Care or equivalent experience Care Certificate completed or willing to work towards Basic numeracy and ability to write simple reports Health and Social Care ExperienceCurrent experience of working in a caring environment, either in health, social or voluntary services Experience of working with adults and/or experience of working in community or home care services.
