Join to apply for theMental Health Adviserrole atNottingham Trent University Join to apply for theMental Health Adviserrole atNottingham Trent University Support our students at every stage of their journey.Doing things differently.Mental Health Adviser£32,397 - £37,280 per annum pro rataPermanentAbout The RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available within our Mental Health Mentoring and Access Team, in Disability and Inclusion Support Services for a Full time Mental Health Adviser to support a caseload of students with a mixture of Disabled Students Allowance funded mental health mentoring support as well as ongoing advice sessions throughout the year, following up on specific cases as necessary.Educated to degree level, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of the support needs and lived experience of students from a range of diverse backgrounds relevant to their participation in higher education, including reasonable adjustments, human and technical support. An excellent working knowledge of the impact and barriers to learning for students with diagnosed Mental Health Conditions and the potential impact on student engagement, progression and attainment is also essential. Due to the funding requirements for the provision of mentoring support for students in receipt of the Disabled Students Allowance, the successful candidate will require a relevant qualification and/or membership of a professional organisation from the list provided in the personnel specification.Our ServicesYou will be part of our Student Support Services function which makes an important contribution to the NTU student experience, providing a range of specialist and professional services for students and operating in an integrated, multidisciplinary student services context across the University.
