This role does not offer sponsorship.As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Autism Practitioner to join our close-knit team at Baston House School,part of Options Autism.About the RoleThe primary responsibility of our Teaching Assistant/Autism Practitioner is to deliver high-quality educational support to Service Users, in line with Company policies, procedures, and practices, as well as the standards set by the Regulatory Body.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the class teacher or tutor to ensure the delivery of high-quality education for all students.Assist in implementing all relevant education policies and procedures fully and effectively.Provide appropriate support to students, individually or in groups, enabling them to access the curriculum as independently as possible.Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students, following Company policies.Ensure efficient use, storage, and maintenance of equipment and resources, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.Help organise the classroom environment, including resources, student groupings, and displays, to create a stimulating learning setting tailored for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).Collaborate with teachers/tutors to write, update, implement, and evaluate individual student documentation such as Behaviour Support Profiles (BSP), Individual Risk Assessments, Individual Education Plans, Communication Profiles, and Pastoral Support Plans as required.Qualifications RequiredGCSEs in English and MathsAbout UsBaston House is an independent day specialist provider of education and care for young people and adults aged 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASC).Baston House School ensures that our school environment supports learning and promotes the well-being of pupils and staff through a strong sense of community cohesion.
