The role will include heavy lifting and moving and transporting furniture or goods from various locations to our retail sites and warehouse with our company van.ellenor is a hospice charity in Gravesend providing palliative and end-of-life care within the local community. Our growing network of 10 shops is supported by our local community to donate goods and materials.We offer professional development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme (with the option for NHS Pension Scheme members to transfer their pension), an employee assistance program, discount schemes, a generous annual leave allowance, and much more.Key Responsibilities of the role include:Collaborate with the Distribution team to collect and distribute goods to multiple sites and locationsSafely moving furniture and heavy goods in and out of customer premises, and ellenor retail sites, taking care to cause no damage or injuryFollow health and safety guidance when lifting, transporting and moving stock between locations and in and out of the company vehicleEnsure you are delivering as per the strategic plan and in line with company policies and proceduresProvide excellent customer service at all times with the capability to navigate sensitive situations being mindful of the circumstances at all timesEssential requirements: Due to Insurance purposes, applicants must be over the age of 25Hold a clean Full UK driving license for a minimum of two years with category C1To pass a Standard DBS checkAbility to lift and manoeuvre heavy/bulky itemsExperience with driving a commercial vehicle in a multi-drop role or delivery serviceEffective time management skills with the ability to manage own workloadThis post is subject to Standard DBS clearanceUK Immigration:ellenor is not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK.
