Accounts Assistant | Aylesford (Office Based) | Up to £30kOur client is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and fast-paced finance team based in Aylesford. This is a full-time, office-based role offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or continue their finance career within a supportive business.Key responsibilities: • Process purchase invoices daily, matching to purchase orders where applicable • Prepare weekly and ad-hoc payment runs across both businesses • Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice queries and discrepancies • Assist with supplier statement reconciliations • Process daily cashbooks for multiple bank accounts, including foreign currency • Reconcile petty cash and ensure accurate records • Process and allocate customer card payments • Prepare and send monthly direct debit collection letters • Raise sales invoices for account customers in the retail store • Reconcile daily store takings against till reports and prepare for banking • Assist with year-end audit preparation • Support ongoing process improvement projects within the finance function • Provide cover for the Financial Controller and support general finance tasks during periods of leave or absence Candidate Profile: • Qualified or part-qualified AAT • Strong communication and numerical skills • Good understanding of accounting principles and finance systems • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines • Proactive approach to problem-solving and learning • Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage) desirableWhy Join us? • Be part of a well-established, customer-focused business with a strong brand reputation • Enjoy working in a supportive and collaborative team environment • Competitive salary and benefits package including: – Pension scheme – 22 days holiday (rising to 25 with service) – Westfield Rewards, Health Cashback & Discounts – Free on-site parking If you're looking to further your finance career in a varied and hands-on role – we’d love to hear from you!#J-18808-Ljbffr
