Job OverviewAre you an experienced Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or AHP?Do you have experience working with CYP who have difficulty engaging with services and have complex mental health needs?Our CAMHS team in Tamworth is looking to recruit a CAMHS Practitioner who will deliver a high-quality, comprehensive mental health service for children and young people with serious and enduring mental health difficulties. The role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with children, young people, and their families who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties.Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative approach and will be skilled at risk assessment and management. They will support the multi-disciplinary working of the team, providing supervision for other team members, as agreed with the Team Lead.In addition, you will participate in team and service development and evaluation, liaise, advise, and consult with a wide range of agencies.Main duties of the jobManage a complex caseload, including specialist assessments (within service specifications), and care planning in conjunction with the service user and carer, evaluating individual treatment plans for CYP with mental health needs. Participate in setting quality standards, including auditing, monitoring, and reviewing practice in line with current clinical guidelines. Assess patients' individual care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate care programs. Deliver a range of interventions according to the agreed care plan and pathway guidance. Complete and contribute to robust risk assessments and risk management, promoting positive risk-taking to improve quality of life and maximize occupational performance and independence. Maintain an effective reporting system by observing and reporting verbally and in writing on patient conditions. Encourage and support service user and carer involvement. Attend and contribute to CAMHS multidisciplinary team, business, and development forums. Use agreed outcome measures to review intervention effectiveness as part of care planning and evaluation, ensuring service goals are met and identifying factors that may inhibit achievement. Professional registration with HCPC, NMC, or equivalent. Desirable criteriaPsychological intervention qualifications including EMDR, CBT, CBTp, Family Interventions, CAT, DBT. Registered practice assessor/supervisor. ExperienceEssential criteriaExperience working with CYP with complex mental health needs and engagement difficulties. Experience assessing, planning, coordinating, and managing CYP's mental health in community settings. Desirable criteriaExperience in CAMHS, crisis, or community settings.
