Do you thrive in a supportive yet fast-paced environment?The Recipe You'll support the delivery of internal communications and colleague engagement activity that connects employees to Warburtons' purpose, values, and strategic direction. Working closely with the Internal Comms & Engagement Manager, this role brings communication plans to life through high-quality content, effective use of channels, and well-executed events that foster an engaged and informed workforce.The Role Strategic Development and Execution: Assist in developing and executing the internal communication and engagement strategy under the direction of the Internal Comms & Engagement ManagerTimely and high-quality delivery of communications plans; alignment with strategyProduce and deliver regular communications that bring strategic narratives to life including updates, announcements, and storiesQuality and consistency of communications; reach and colleague feedbackCreate visually engaging and well-written content (articles, presentations, digital assets) for multiple platforms and audiencesPositive feedback from stakeholders; content quality and brand consistencyCoordinate the logistics and delivery of key events (e.g. town halls, celebrations, leader engagement sessions), ensuring smooth execution.Event delivery feedback, participation levels, and satisfaction metricMaintain and update internal communication channels (intranet, digital screens, email tools), ensuring content is timely, relevant and engagingChannel usage rates, click-throughs, and feedback on usabilityCollaborate with external suppliers (designers, printers, venues) to deliver materials and events to brief and within timelinesSupplier satisfaction; project delivery against deadlinesAssist in running engagement surveys and colleague feedback mechanisms, including analysis and collation of resultsSurvey response rates; insight presentation and action trackingSupport communication aspects of change programmes, working with the Manager to ensure clear, timely and supportive messagingColleague understanding of change; feedback on clarity and toneContribute to continuous improvement by suggesting ideas to evolve communication tools, methods, and storytelling approaches.Implementation of new ideas; innovation in formats or channelsEssential Ingredients Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or a related field, with a demonstrable track record of delivering impactful communications and campaignsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging and accessible messagingConfidence in producing communication materials across various formats written, visual, and digital tailored to different internal audiencesCompetent in using communication and design tools (e.g. Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe, intranet CMS platforms)Experience supporting the planning and delivery of internal events, colleague forums, or leadership communicationsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with strong project coordination and organisational skillsSkilled at working cross-functionally and building collaborative relationships across levels and teamsCurious, proactive, and improvement-focused brings fresh ideas and energy to content and campaignsAwareness of change communication principles and a readiness to support colleagues through periods of changeComfortable using digital communication channels and analysing engagement data (e.g. email open rates, intranet metrics, survey feedback) to inform future contentProfessional and diplomatic, with a clear understanding of tone, discretion, and brand alignment in internal messagingExperience supporting or contributing to internal engagement surveys and translating insight into actionFamiliarity with employer brand and alignment between internal and external messagingUnderstanding of how internal comms contributes to cultural alignment, engagement, and employee experienceAwareness of best practice in inclusive and accessible communicationExtra Dough At last and by no means least, you will want to know what your breads worth:A slice of the annual profits (discretionary profit share)Family time is important to us and we know it will be to you so you have the opportunity to purchase up to an extra weeks annual leave.Award winning pension scheme with company contributions of 7%Life assuranceProducts you will love along with deals and discounts for you and the family through our Extra Dough websiteContinued investment in your personal developmentFully stocked kitchens filled with our delicious products for you to enjoy with your daily brew!Support for your health and wellbeing, including access to free physiotherapy, 24/7 access to a confidential helpline for practical advice and a comprehensive occupational health serviceWe respect and value difference.
