You dont need to have prior Support Worker experience but must be confident and empathetic and possess excellent communication and computer skills.Roles available are:The Albion: 1x Permanent, Full time Support Planner 37hrs The Albion is based in Sneinton and is a 24 unit, self-contained Emergency Accommodation in the city- single people and couples 16 yrs +. They are staffed 24 hours and have a large mixed team of Support Planners, Support Workers and night Workers.Michael Varnam House: 3x Permanent Full time Support Planner 37hrs Michael Varnam House is a well-established service based in Nottingham City providing accommodation and support for homeless people often with a range of complex support needs. It is a gated community compromising of 17 self-contained flats, and one ensuite community supported detoxification bed, housed within beautifully landscaped gardens located within the Arboretum.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo provide support to Service Users in a safe and maintained environment, by support planning, reviewing and assessing their individual risks and needs.To ensure that tasks identified in support plans are communicated to Support Workers and that these tasks are clear, appropriate and agreed with the Service UserYou will have caseloads with Tenants in properties across the city (mileage system for car drivers).To prepare agreed support plans with Service Users.Sign post Tenants onto appropriate services for substance misuse management & health.Assist service users with housing applications and move on options.Assist service users with basic budgeting and life skills in order to support them to move on to live independently.To liaise appropriately with Key partners, stakeholders and service providers to ensure appropriate support is offered to all Service Users.Why Join Us?We invest in you and encourage career progression providing a full induction, e-learning and classroom training, management development pathways, fully-funded professional qualifications and more.Your wellbeing is important to us.
