With strategically located assets across key urban and transport nodes, they are investing heavily in the development of fast and ultra-rapid EV charging stations in partnership with leading commercial and retail property owners.Job PurposeAs part of the company’s national EV charging rollout, the EV Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple EV charging installations at high-traffic retail and forecourt locations across the UK. The role involves coordinating with approved contractors, ensuring HSE compliance, and managing cost, time, and quality across each deployment.This role is suited to a confident and commercially aware project manager who thrives in a fast-paced infrastructure delivery environment, with experience in managing construction or engineering works involving energy systems or retail environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Construction ManagementOversee construction and commissioning of multiple concurrent EV charging installation projectsEnsure delivery to agreed specifications, timelines, and budgetsManage post-planning implementation, including discharge of conditions and pre-start complianceLead project launch meetings, coordinate pre-start site readiness and stakeholder alignmentHealth, Safety, and ComplianceEnsure full compliance with CDM regulations, building codes, and health 'safety proceduresReview and approve RAMS and issue necessary permitsConduct contractor audits and regular site inspections to uphold safety and qualityStakeholder & Contractor ManagementAppoint and manage principal contractors, designers, and third-party authoritiesMaintain close communication with local authorities, site operators, and internal teamsRun biweekly site progress reviews and issue progress reportsOperational ReadinessOversee testing, snagging, and final commissioningDeliver “Go Live” training and transition EV equipment to site teamsTrack performance and capture lessons learned for continuous improvementKnowledge & Skills RequiredExperience delivering EV infrastructure projects, ideally in a commercial or forecourt settingWorking knowledge of CDM regulations, “Blue Book” guidance, and general building complianceStrong understanding of HSE protocols and contractor management best practiceExcellent organisational and stakeholder coordination skillsConfident in managing multiple projects with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Excel and project tracking toolsStrong attention to detail and commercial acumenDesirable QualificationsConstruction or engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent)EV, electrical, or energy-related certification or backgroundFamiliarity with local authority engagement, planning discharge, and utility coordinationWhat’s on Offer£50,000 - £60,000 base salaryCompany vehicle or car allowanceHybrid working with flexible field-based deliveryStructured progression in a high-growth, sustainability-led businessOpportunity to contribute directly to UK transport decarbonisation goals
