Team Manager – Mental Health Crisis Service (Night Shift)Location: Thanet, Kent (Hospital-based site) Salary: £30,826 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week | 8pm–8am shifts + 3 hours admin time Contract: PermanentVenn Group is currently recruiting for a Team Manager on behalf of a respected mental health provider delivering a 24/7 crisis service in the Thanet area. This is a key leadership role within a non-clinical mental health crisis service that provides a safe and supportive alternative to A&E for individuals in mental distress.Role Overview:This is a rewarding opportunity to lead and support a dedicated night team working to provide high-quality, recovery-focused interventions. Based in a hospital-adjacent location, you’ll manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers, work collaboratively with clinical partners, and ensure safe and effective service delivery for individuals in acute need.Key Responsibilities:Provide operational leadership during the night shift (8pm–8am), ensuring a welcoming, non-clinical environment for service usersOversee the work of Crisis Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers, and volunteersCollaborate with external services including crisis teams, home treatment teams, and hospital liaisonFacilitate and supervise 1:1 intervention, group activities, and appropriate signpostingLead on risk management, safeguarding, and support planningMaintain accurate documentation and contribute to service developmentRequirements:Significant experience in mental health services, ideally community-based or crisis-orientedKnowledge of primary and secondary care pathwaysFamiliarity with the Care Act and Mental Health ActProven leadership skills, including managing, coaching, and developing staffConfident in prioritising caseloads and working with individuals with complex needsExcellent interpersonal, engagement and motivational skillsWhat’s on Offer:Comprehensive, in-person induction and training25 days annual leave + statutory holidays5% contributory pensionOngoing personal and professional development opportunitiesA dynamic and supportive team culture
