Role DetailsRole: Procurement LeadHours: 40 hours per weekShift Pattern: Core working hours between Monday to Friday, typically, 08:00 – 16:00Contract: PermanentJoin Inspired Global Cuisine (IGC)Inspired Global Cuisine are a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Gorton, East Manchester. We are an ambitious company who have grown significantly over the last 2 years, now producing over 1million meals a week and have plans to continue to grow. Join IGC as our Procurement Lead where you will lead our procurement function, play a key role within the business and deliver exceptional financial results.We're seeking a commercially minded procurement leader to maximize our budgeted financial purchasing KPIs, including purchase price variance (PPV), while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability across our entire product range.What You'll DoStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute cost-effective procurement strategies that drive commercial successLead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and qualify new suppliersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to assess market trends and identify cost-saving opportunitiesSupplier ExcellenceBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure favourable terms and conditionsNegotiate contracts and agreements ensuring competitive pricing and optimal termsEnsure supplier compliance with safety requirements and company standardsDrive quality assurance processes in collaboration with our Technical teamCommercial ImpactConduct comprehensive cost analysis and implement optimisation strategiesWork with internal stakeholders to identify savings without compromising quality or deliveryManage risk proactively by identifying supply chain vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategiesGenerate and analyse procurement reports to track KPIs and demonstrate valueOperational ExcellencePartner with Supply Chain and Production teams to optimise stock levels and minimise excess inventoryImplement robust stock control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situationsEnsure full compliance with relevant regulations and industry standardsProvide regular updates to senior management on activities, savings, and risksTeam LeadershipLead and develop the Procurement teamWork closely with NPD and Operational teams to support business objectivesLiaise with Finance to ensure accurate and timely supplier paymentsSkills & ExperienceExperienceProven experience within buying/food manufacturing or similar background (desirable)In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain managementGood understanding of business and project management, purchasing management (desirable)Key CapabilitiesStrong negotiation skills and commercial acumenExcellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding organisational skills and budget planning capabilitiesGreat interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships internally and externallyProactive approach with ability to independently manage own workloadProficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office SuiteBenefitsOur benefits package includes:25 days holiday, plus 8 days bank holiday15% store discount30% discount with Club Individual Restaurant GroupFree parking onsiteEnhanced maternity/paternity leaveEmployee assistance programmeLong service awardsReward & recognitionRewards discount / cashback scheme at over 150 retailers.
